Lens submit offer for Leicester City target Cyriaque Irié | OneFootball

RC Lens have submitted an offer for ESTAC Troyes forward Cyriaque Irié (19), according to a report from Foot Mercato, however, Leicester City remain in the race for the right winger.

Burkina Faso youth international Irié is having a strong season in Ligue 2 with City Group side Troyes. In 22 matches in all competitions, he has six goals and two assists but he could soon be on the move. Foot Mercato understands that Lens have submitted a substantial offer worth €10m (€7.5m plus €2.5m in bonuses) to their counterparts at Troyes.

However, the City Group-owned club are demading a higher fee to release the tricky right-winger during the January transfer window. All the while, there is another club interested in acquiring his services – Leicester City. The Midlands club, struggling in the Premier League and in a fight to retain their top-flight status, could soon make concrete steps to recruit Irié.
