Bournemouth have confirmed that Lewis Cook has signed a one-year extension to remain at the Vitality Stadium until 2025.
The midfielder’s current deal wasn’t set to expire until 2024 but, having recovered from two serious knee injuries in the last four years, has committed a further 12-months to Bournemouth.
“We’re very pleased to get another contract extension with a key player over the line,” said Bournemouth Chief Executive Neill Blake.
“Lewis’ talent and work ethic are there for all to see and this is a massive boost for the club just before the start of the new season.
“He has played a huge role in our successes to date and is a key part of our future plans, so it’s fantastic that he has committed his future to the club.”
The 25-year-old featured 75 times throughout the club’s previous five-year spell in the Premier League and played 28 times in the Championship last season.
Cook has become the third player to extend with the Cherries following Mark Travers and Dominic Solanke.
