Bruno Genesio will have to cobble together a midfield as Lille OSC travel to face Bologna in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

André Gomes, signed on a free transfer after the deadline to submit the Champions League squad list is ineligible for the encounter. Angel Gomes will also miss out. The England international has been nursing an injury for several months, as he revealed on social media, and it has been decided that he requires to fully recover, meaning that he will not feature again until 2025.

It leaves Genesio short of options with Benajmin André almost certain to line up alongside Ayyoub Bouaddi, with Ethan Mbappé also sidelined. Elsewhere, Thomas Meunier is expected to return to the side after being rested.
