Real Madrid are actively pursuing Bayern Munich’s talented left-back Alphonso Davies, but they are not the only club interested in securing his services.
According to journalist Jorge Picon, Premier League giants such as Manchester United and Liverpool are also in the race, with both clubs showing keen interest in the Canadian international.
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Davies is no secret. The Spanish giants have been working hard to convince him to join them on a free transfer when his current contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of this season.
However, recent developments suggest that Bayern Munich are making considerable progress in trying to extend his contract, and Davies is now weighing his options carefully.
Despite Bayern Munich’s efforts, several top clubs, particularly from the Premier League, have been in contact with Davies’ agents.

Interestingly, though, Manchester United, while once a strong contender, now seems to have taken a step back in the race for the left-back.
On the other hand, Liverpool, although not prioritising a new left-back at this time, sees signing Davies as a potentially great deal given the circumstances.
In the meantime, Real Madrid are preparing for a crucial meeting with Davies’ representative. As the player enters the final six months of his contract, Madrid are now in a position to negotiate terms directly.
The club knows exactly what they are willing to offer, and while they view this as a prime market opportunity, they are unlikely to exceed the figures they set months ago. Any significant change in their offer could jeopardise the deal.
At this stage, it is clear that Bayern Munich still hold the upper hand in keeping Davies at the club, as they can offer him a new contract and continue to rely on his services.
However, with several suitors, including Real Madrid, waiting in the wings, Davies will soon have to make a decision about his future.
