Mohamed Salah is now free to start talks with other clubs as his contract with Liverpool expires in June. With the new year underway, reports have surfaced linking the 32-year-old forward to Paris Saint-Germain.
L’Équipe’s Loïc Tanzi reveals that PSG are fully focused on securing Salah’s signature next summer. He’s their primary attacking target, alongside Jhon Durán. However, competition for his services will be fierce, with both Liverpool and Al-Hilal also showing interest.
Football Insider has reported that Salah is pushing for a significant contract extension, aiming to stay at Anfield until 2027, which would add three more years to his current deal.

On Monday, journalist Ben Jacobs shared details from his sources in Saudi Arabia regarding a possible move for Salah, which will be helped with the departure of Neymar from Al-Hilal.
“Al-Hilal now free up significant budget due to Neymar’s termination, Jacobs wrote. “A big drive is expected to find a new marquee star in time for the Club World Cup. Saudi Pro League set to take FIFA up on the exceptional window between 1-10 June in order to sign players ahead of the tournament.
“Mo Salah is still Hilal’s number one target as Jorge Jesus wants a right-sided attacker. However, Saudi dealmakers also respectful of Salah’s negotiations with Liverpool and his decision-making process. SPL sporting director Michael Emenalo has a strong relationship with Salah and the financials on offer already outlined from the approach on behalf of Al-Ittihad in 2023.”
Recently, French football expert Jonathan Johnson spoke about the rumor and whether the move for the veteran makes sense for the Ligue 1 giants as they have entered this new phase of young talent.
