Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports today that Inter right-back Mattia Zanotti has attracted interest from clubs around Europe in the wake of his impressive performances with Italy while at the U20 World Cup in Argentina.
The 20-year-old has played every minute of Gli Azzurrini‘s campaign so far, and twice featured for the Champions League finalists in the league this season, having also featured for the Primavera youth side. The Brescia-born full-back had made his debut for the first team in the league last year.
Within Serie A, Lazio are among the teams who are keeping an eye on the versatile defender, with the Biancocelesti having enquired about his availability and reiterated their interest recently.
But the Italian youth international could also move to France – specifically, Lorient are showing an initial interest in signing the Inter man, although they also face competition from PSV Eindhoven. The move to Brittany would see him join a compatriot in goalkeeper Vito Mannone.
