Lotte Wubben-Moy has signed a new three-year contract with childhood club Arsenal. The England international has made 143 appearances for the Gunners and was named player of the season for the 2023/24 campaign.

The Arsenal centre-back has also made her mark on the international stage, making 13 appearances for the Lionesses so far in her career.

Early beginnings at Arsenal

Wubben-Moy came through Arsenal’s academy and returned to the club in 2020, following three seasons at UNC in America.

The defender made her Arsenal debut at 16 and has become a crucial player since her return to the club.

Wubben-Moy enjoyed a standout campaign in the 2023/24 season, establishing herself as a leader within the team. She became a stalwart in the heart of Arsenal’s defence, showcasing her defensive capabilities and physical attributes.

Arsenal are hopeful Wubben-Moy will be able to play a role in the final few games of the season. She has not featured since February due to injury but could be in contention for Sunday’s Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Lyon.

Wubben-Moy’s impact extends far beyond the pitch. The defender frequently engages with Arsenal in the community through a range of initiatives.

Alongside her new contract, Wubben-Moy will also form part of Arsenal’s leadership group. This demonstrates her importance to the team’s success both on and off the pitch.

Extending her stay with the Gunners
