In disastrous form since the start of the season, and already playing under their third coach of the year, as ex-academy coach Pierre Sage will be officiating as part-time manager following Fabio Grosso’s departure last Thursday, Lyon will face Lens in an exciting Saturday fixture. The Frenchman will be looking to exploit Les Sang et Ors’ potential dip in confidence, following their crushing defeat to Arsenal at the start of the week.
Lyon will be without Corentin Tolisso (29) and Johann Lepenant (21), out with a calf and a knee injury respectively. Summer signing Paul Akouakou should be the one to replace Tolisso, aiming to bring stability in the centre of the park.
Both Rayan Cherki (20) and Diego Moreira (19) could start as well, using their technical ability and creativity in order to combine with last season’s top-scorer Alexandre Lacazette (32). As a reminder, OL is the joint-worst attack in the league, having scored only nine goals since the start of the season.
