Olympique Lyonnais will have to do without the suspended Jake O’Brien and the injured Corentin Tolisso as they prepare to face OGC Nice on Friday night.
O’Brien, despite being signed at Lyon with a view to loaning him out, has established himself as the first-choice centre-back at the club this season. The Irishman has been displaceable, however, he misses Friday’s fixture having seen red against Le Havre AC.
Another centre-back, Dejan Lovren, is also absent through injury, meaning that Clinton Mata will likely be drafted in to play in the middle of the back four, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles filling in at right-back.
In midfield, Tolisso misses out with a hamstring injury, meaning that Orel Mangala, a January signing from Nottingham Forest, will start alongside another January signing Nemanja Matić.
