In their game tomorrow at home to Toulouse FC, Olympique Lyonnais will be looking to renew with success, having only won one match this season and currently sitting at the bottom of the league.
Lyon will try to replicate some of what they showed against RC Lens two games ago, where they had performed positively, specifically in using the ball with intent and determination, which had so far lacked at the club. However, their mid-week match against Olympique Marseille has injected further doubts into the squad, as their interim manager Pierre Sage highlighted.
The manager could opt for the same lineup that he used against Lens, as he will still have to do without important players Corentin Tolisso (29) and Nicolás Tagliafico (31). Both will be out until the end of December due to injuries, while Skelly Alvero (21) and Henrique (29) should remain their respective replacements in the starting 11.
The main question remains around Rayan Cherki (20) and whether or not Lyon’s hot prospect will continue to be a starting player for the side, as it has been reported that the club would be willing to let go of him this winter, for as little as €10 million. Cherki is a creative outlet that can be invaluable in unlocking tight defences, though his output has been underwhelming this season, having only provided one assist so far.
