Man City 4-1 West Ham: Player ratings as Savinho & Haaland dazzle in convincing win | OneFootball

Manchester City secured an emphatic 4-1 victory over West Ham United on Saturday as they earned their second successive Premier League win.

West Ham looked sharp on the counter-attack in the early stages but their profligacy was punished in the tenth minute as the home side took the lead. Vladimir Coufal's unfortunate own goal handed them their advantage, with Savinho's cross arrowing off the Czech defender's shin before flying beyond the wrong-footed Alphonse Areola.

Man City flexed their attacking muscles as the half drew to a close and secured a significant second three minutes before the break. The energetic Savinho picked out Erling Haaland with a pinpoint cross and the Norwegian made no mistake as he headed beyond Areola.

The same duo combined as Man City quickly put the game beyond doubt ten minutes after half-time, Savinho releasing Haaland and the imposing centre-forward bumping Konstantinos Mavropanos before chipping over Areola.

Things would get even worse for the visitors just three minutes later as some wayward passing gifted Man City their fourth. Kevin De Bruyne leapt upon Mohammed Kudus' error and found Phil Foden, who picked out the back of the net with ease.

West Ham would reduce the deficit with 20 minutes to spare as Niclas Fullkrug flashed an effort beyond Stefan Ortega but it was nothing more than a consolation following another underwhelming display that piles pressure on Julen Lopetegui.
