Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville offered different predictions ahead of Sunday’s big showdown against Arsenal.

The Red Devils currently sit in a miserable 14th place in the Premier League table, while their visitors are second, albeit 13 points adrift from runaway leaders Liverpool.

But while the standings paint the Gunners as the obvious favourites, Neville insists this is the sort of fixture that Man Utd thrives in. Therefore, the 50-year-old was tempted to predict a victory for the Reds, but eventually settled for a 1-1 draw.

“This could finish Arsenal off. This is the type of game Man United win,” claimed Neville while offering his predictions on The Overlap.

“How will Arsenal get a goal?” wondered the retired right-back in a reference to the Gunners’ injury crisis in attack.

Nevertheless, Keane wasn’t having it. The iconic midfielder predicted a 2-1 victory for the North Londoners while taking the opportunity to make a sarcastic swipe at INEOS and their cost cutting policy.

“No, Arsenal will win. You might as well cancel United’s pre-match meal as well,” said Keane in a mocking tone. “Arsenal win 2-1.”

In the meantime, Neville, Jamie Carragher and Ian Wright kept mentioning Bruno Fernandes in the hopes of drawing a response from Keane, and the latter did not disappoint.

“I like Bruno,” said the Irish legend while winking to the camera. “He’s a talented player, but talent is not enough.”

In recent days, Keane caused a stir by suggesting that the Portuguese star is not worthy of Man Utd’s captaincy, sparking a major debate among fans and pundits alike.

Therefore, it remains to be seen if the 30-year-old will have his say when the Red Devils host their old rivals at Old Trafford this Sunday.
