Manchester City have completed the signing of Brazilian international forward Kerolin Nicoli on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this afternoon.

The 25-year-old joins Manchester City from American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club North Carolina Courage. Kerolin has spent the last three years with Courage in which she has scored 17 goals in 38 appearances in the NWSL. She won back-to-back NWSL Challenge Cups with Courage in 2022 and 2023 while she was named the NWSL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2023.

On the international stage, Kerolin has been capped by Brazil on 45 occasions in which she has scored six goals. She was a Copa América Femenina winner in 2022 and an Olympic Games Silver Medalist last summer.

After joining Manchester City, Kerolin said “I’m so excited to be here. I think there were a lot of reasons why I chose City and one of those was to play in the Champions League.

“I think the players [in the WSL] are really technical and the team is compact. I want to be better, to learn different things and to come here to be challenged. I also want to play against the defenders who will play in the next World Cup in Brazil in 2027.

“I’m really excited to be part of the team. I have so much confidence, but I know I need to keep working hard to be great here. There will be some differences between here and where I’ve played before, but I’m really excited.”

Kerolin becomes Manchester City’s third signing of the January transfer window.
