Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof this month as the club look to raise funds for Ruben Amorim.
Amorim has endured a tough start to his reign, losing five of his first eight games in the Premier League.
The Portuguese coach admitted his side could be dragged into a relegation battle if results don’t improve, with the Red Devils just seven points above the bottom three.
Significant investment under former manager Erik ten Hag has limited funds available this month and sales are required before players can be brought in. Eriksen and Lindelof are free to explore their options this month, while Fabrizio Romano has revealed Casemiro could also depart.
The Brazil international has struggled for form across the last 18 months and has been subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League.
United are prepared to cash in on Casemiro if a suitable offer arrives, in a move that would offload one of the club’s highest earners. With Marcus Rashford having hinted at his desire for an exit, United could free sizeable room in their wage bill with the departure of the duo.
Rashford returned to the squad for the defeat to Newcastle on December 30th, having been dropped for the previous three fixtures. After his omission from last month’s Manchester Derby, Rashford said he was ‘ready’ for a new challenge. Paris Saint-Germain are long-term admirers of the 27-year-old and have again been linked with a potential move.
