Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has reacted after PSV Eindhoven announced that Tyrell Malacia has joined them on loan from the Old Trafford club.
Rashford left the Red Devils for Aston Villa on loan for the rest of the season at the weekend, and the Dutchman joined him in sealing a temporary exit yesterday, returning to his homeland for regular minutes after struggling under head coach Ruben Amorim since coming back from a lengthy lay-off.
Malacia will be hoping to impress at PSV, and Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Elanga have all responded on social media platform Instagram after the loan deal was confirmed by the Eredivisie club.
Man United snapped up Denmark international left-back Patrick Dorgu from Leece at the weekend, allowing Malacia to leave, but they could be left short of options in the position after reports emerged today that Luke Shaw is set to be out for around four weeks after an injury setback.
While they are only challenging on three fronts having been eliminated from the Carabao Cup, Man United could do with quality squad depth at the back as they look to end the 2024-25 campaign on an impressive note, and they will hope Dorgu can hit the ground running in the Premier League.
Malacia knows the Dutch top-flight well having spent 14 years on the books of Feyenoord, and he will be desperate to prove himself in the coming months.
It remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old still has a future at Man United, and his performances in the coming months could play a huge role in deciding where he will be plying his trade next season.
