Celtic are flying high in the Scottish Premiership, and they have remained undefeated in domestic competitions so far.
The Bhoys have already taken a healthy seven-point gap over Aberdeen with a game in hand at the top of the table and are 11 points clear of Rangers.
While there is still a long way to go, Chris Sutton suggests that it is difficult to see how other sides would stop Celtic at the moment.
The gap is already “massive”, and he says that what has impressed him heavily about Celtic is that the entire squad is making valuable contributions.
Writing for the Daily Record, Sutton notes that Brendan Rodgers made six changes from the side that drew 1-1 against Club Brugge for the game against Ross County, and four of them scored for the Hoops in the 5-0 win last month.
The Bhoys have lost just one game in all competitions, and that was against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League back in October.
Sutton’s observations are absolutely spot-on here. The gap between Celtic and Rangers is massive at the moment, and it will take a monumental downfall from the Bhoys to lose the title from here on.
Celtic have done extremely well in the Champions League this season, and it will be a huge achievement for them if they reach the knock-out stages of this competition.
The Hoops bolstered their squad in the summer and added depth in several departments.
They have signed a new striker and two new defenders, and they have added two quality midfielders, and it has helped Rodgers to rotate the squad properly.
The likes of Luke McCowan and Adam Idah have impressed, while Arne Engels, the big-money summer signing, has failed to start regularly.
