Jeremy Menez has summed up perfectly what AC Milan have lacked this season, and whilst it is easy to identify, it is difficult to sort.

Throughout this year, the Milan season has felt like a spiral. With each action, good or bad, there has always been a subtle tension present, ready to grow in an instant. Unfortunately, this has been the case on the pitch and off it.

Under Paulo Fonseca, there were constant rumours about a rift within the squad, and with a number of key players available this summer, it is not being aided. Then, there are the questions off the pitch.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been the target of heavy criticism since his return, with no one understanding his role. In addition to this, other managerial figures have been targets, simply due to performance.

Today, Menez aimed to offer some insight into the situation and what may be causing the struggle, and he spoke to Sportmediaset via Milan Press.

“Strange situation, it’s a shame to see Milan like this, I’ll tell you the truth. In my opinion Milan must find the serenity and stability they need to get results again. Blame? For me a bit of all of them, you can’t just blame one or the other. The management must find a solution to find the stability and serenity the team needs.”
