It’s a wild transfer deadline day for Milan: Ismaël Bennacer is heading out to join Olympique de Marseille and the Rossoneri have now secured the services of his replacement: Bondo.

The 21-year-old Frenchman nearly joined the Diavolo three years ago, but now he makes the jump from Adriano Galliani’s Monza to Milan.

As reported by Milannews.it and others, an agreement was found between Galliani and the Milan management for the permanent transfer of Bondo for €10m + bonuses. In addition, Kevin Zeroli will join Monza on loan until the end of the season.

Bondo will earn €1.5m per season wearing the colors of Milan. He’s a defensive-minded midfielder and will act mostly as muscle in midfield or a direct substitute for Youssouf Fofana.

Even though Francesco Camarda’s loan move didn’t take off, Milan and Monza are still making transfers this January. The official announcements will arrive in the coming hours.
