According to Italian reports, Milan are hopeful Feyenoord will accept their latest Santiago Gimenez offer worth €30m plus add-ons.
The asking price from the Dutch side has always been a minimum of €40m and there were suggestions the original bid was only €20m plus a percentage of the sell-on fee.
Negotiations continued and, aware that the player is pushing for the transfer to San Siro, this emboldened the Rossoneri to increase their proposal.

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening that the latest message from Milan is €30m plus bonuses, including a cut of the future sale.
They are confident that Feyenoord will accept and it will be paid for partially by the sale of Alvaro Morata to Galatasaray for circa €16m.
However, Morata will not be released until the Gimenez transfer has been completed, so it is a race against time before the deadline on Monday.
