Milan will continue to pursue Santiago Gimenez until the final days of the January window, but they have started to weigh some alternatives for the no.9 role, for instance, Lorenzo Lucca, who’s putting together a career season, Sky reports.

The Rossoneri have shown interest but haven’t opened talks nor tabled an offer for the Udinese striker. He’s been linked especially to Roma in recent days since Claudio Ranieri stated he liked the player. He has bagged 8 goals in 21 Serie A appearances this campaign. The fact that they are kicking the tires for a fallback isn’t too promising, but they are right in not putting all their eggs in one basket. The Udinese marksman is on an upward trajectory and would be just fine, but they should go after somebody with more star power and goals in his boots to really improve their attack.
