Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic both have interesting stories at AC Milan to date, and they are competing to ensure it doesn’t end this summer.

As MilanNews recall, Abraham arrived from Roma in the final hours of the summer transfer window on a dry loan, becoming the back-up to Alvaro Morata initially. Jovic also got used to deputising, after joining on a free transfer from Fiorentina in the 2023 summer mercato.

In this final part of the season, the English striker is proving to be a top performer, also enriched with goals and assists (the most recent one in the 4-0 win over Udinese) that very often turn out to be decisive.

If Abraham were to continue like this with Milan, then the management could also think about keeping him, but the matter is easier said than done, also because the discussions with Roma will surely also include Alexis Saelemaekers.

There is the general feeling that the clubs will sit down to try and find an agreement but at present there are different valuations for the striker and the Belgian winger. Extending the respective loans by another 12 months cannot be ruled out, and it is a solution that might make sense.

Jovic meanwhile went from being sidelined in the winter months to being an additional resource. The Serbian converts his chances with the composure and ruthlessness of a man who scored for fun at Eintracht Frankfurt.

He also moves well between the lines, offering valuable solutions during the build-up phase. Sergio Conceição’s has found a use for both but given the links to other strikers, there may only be room for one next season. Let the battle commence.
