Modesto dispels rumours of joining Milan as director: “Nothing is true” | OneFootball

With AC Milan looking for a new sporting director, there have been several names put forward for the post, including Francois Modesto, but he may not be a player in the race.

In recent months, there have been an increasing number of names put forward to lead the new Milan project. However, there are no leaders at present, with Fabio Paratici’s chances dropping this morning.

So, in many ways, we are back to square one with the hunt for a new director, and there are still so many names that are in with a chance of landing the role, even if the leading suggestions still remain Igli Tare and Tony D’Amico.

One name that has been linked with the post has been Modesto, who was formerly the technical director of Nottingham Forest, but he is currently without a role after leaving Monza. Today, though, he has stated to Radiolina that he is not in the running for the post, via Milan News.

“I had a great time at Monza. Leaving was my choice. There has been talk of my joining AC Milan, but nothing is true. I would like to one day return as manager at Cagliari. I know President Giulini and together we brought Cragno to Monza.”
