Folarin Balogun made his comeback against Benfica last week. Having dislocated his shoulder against Stade Rennais at the start of October, he came of the bench in the defeat to Benfica before then starting against Olympique de Marseille just days later.
However, the USMNT forward suffered a setback. Adi Hutter confirmed that Balogun was suffering from pain in the shoulder. He is therefore absent from AS Monaco’s matchday squad to face Toulouse FC on Saturday. He is the only major absentee for Les Monégasques with Krépin Diatta, Mamadou Coulibaly, and Edan Diop also all absent from the Monaco squad.
In Balogun’s absence, Breel Embolo will be expected to lead the line. After coming down with a minor illness in midweek, Denis Zakaria is also expected to start.
Radoslaw Majecki; Christian Mawissa, Thilo Kehrer, Wilfried Singo, Jordan Teze; Lamine Camara, Denis Zakaria; Aleksandr Golovin, Takumi Minamino, Maghnes Akliouche; Breel Embolo.
