With Axel Tuanzebe returning to Manchester United following an unremarkable loan spell, Napoli have identified Leo Østigard as a suitable replacement for the Englishman.
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli have started negotiations with Brighton & Hove Albion over a potential summer transfer for Leo Østigard.
The report understands that Napoli have put an offer of around €3million plus bonuses on the table of the Premier League side, who signed the Norwegian from Molde in 2018.
Since joining Brighton, the 22-year-old has been to several clubs. Playing as a loanee, he made 14 appearances for Genoa after moving to Italy in the January transfer window.
His performances for the Rossoblù have caught the attention of the Partenopei. Consequently, they want to sign the defender on a permanent deal this summer.
However, the clubs—involved in the negotiation—have not agreed on the terms, including the resale percentage, bonuses, and other percentages. In all, the final details are yet to be defined, as reported by Di Marzio.
