In an interview with Het Nieuwsblad, Kortrijk’s 20 year-old Chilean international Nayel Mehssatou has ruled out a move to Colo-Colo. The full-back, who made his international debut in June, has been linked in recent days to the Chilean giants. Speaking about the move, Mehssatou said “I am charmed by their interest, because it is the largest club in the country. I have received many messages from enthusiastic supporters, but at the moment I feel good at KV Kortrijk and a transfer is not an option. My mother would like me to move there”.
Since Bern Stork took over from Adnan Custovic, Mehssatou has seen increased playing time. The 20 year-old made our list of young players to watch this season, and with interest coming from his home country its clear that the player has a big future. Under Storck Kortrijk have yet to lose, which includes a win against leaders Genk and a late win away to OH Leuven.
