It has been nearly eight years since Neymar left FC Barcelona to join PSG in a world-record transfer worth €222 million.
Ever since he left the Blaugrana, the Brazilian superstar has been constantly linked with a move back to the club.
The possibility of a return was talked about when he was leaving PSG, but nothing came of it and he signed for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
Now, having left the Middle East during the winter transfer window, Neymar is back at his boyhood club Santos.
However, according to journalist Santi Ovalle, Neymar continues to dream about a possible return to Barcelona in the near future.
In fact, the Brazilian forward’s idea is to use his time in Brazil to get in good shape so that he can return to playing in Europe in the summer.

And, if that scenario materialises, his dream would be to re-sign for Barcelona, where he enjoyed tremendous success before opting to move to PSG.
While the attacker might harbour hopes of a return, it is unclear at this point as to whether the Blaugrana would consider such a possibility.
The Brazilian was reportedly offered to Barça in January before his move to Santos, but the club were uninterested.
While the Catalans might be on the lookout for a new left-winger in the summer, a move for Neymar appears unlikely given the wages that would command as well as the fact that he might not be the best fit stylistically in Hansi Flick’s team.
Barcelona’s sporting Deco already commented on the possibility of a return to the club for Neymar, stating that it was unrealistic.
“Neymar’s return to Barça was always far-fetched. Since he moved to Saudi, we knew he was a very expensive player, especially in terms of financial fair play,” he had said last month.
