Nicolò Fagioli prefers Fiorentina over Marseille | OneFootball

According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, Nicolò Fagioli’s (23) preference is to join Fiorentina over Olympique de Marseille this winter. Di Marzio explains that both clubs have approached Juventus with an offer of a loan with clauses attached.

Fiorentina’s loan offer would have an option to buy (although their current valuation is below Juventus’s asking price), while Marseille’s would be permanent under certain conditions like appearances and qualification to the Champions League.

Foot Mercato had previously written that Fagioli was excited by the prospect of playing under Roberto De Zerbi, while Di Marzio states that Marseille’s wage offer has not convinced the midfielder and he has given his priority to joining Fiorentina. The Italian is thought to be waiting for Fiorentina to reach an agreement with Juventus.

Marseille have been looking at other options as they try to bolster their midfield and have been considering AC Milan’s Ismaël Bennacer who is thought to be keen to join the club before the window shuts.
