The squad of players set to be depended upon by La Liga giants Real Madrid to get the better of Arsenal this wee has been unveiled online.
And it features a number of noteworthy absences, as well as one key return.
Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action this coming Tuesday night.
Fresh off a damaging La Liga defeat at the hands of Valencia on Saturday, Los Blancos will turn attentions back towards matters on the continent.
A Champions League quarter-final first-leg meeting with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal lies in wait, at The Emirates.
With their chances of retaining the club’s league title beginning to look increasingly slim, Real Madrid will no doubt be desperate to secure a positive result on Tuesday, to keep alive their hunt for yet another European crown.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of Carlo Ancelotti calling upon the strongest possible group of players to face Arsenal.
This includes the returning Thibaut Courtois, who appears to have recovered from the knee issue which kept him out of each of Los Merengues’ last three fixtures.
Missing out through injury, on the other hand, are all of Dani Ceballos, Ferland Mendy and Andriy Lunin.
They join long-term absentees Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão, as well as the suspended Aurélien Tchouaméni, in being ruled out for the London matchup.
