Official: Barcelona announce line-up to take on Real Madrid | OneFootball

The XI of players set to take to the pitch for Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday evening has been unveiled online.

Barca are of course primed to return to action in short order.

After putting Athletic Club to the sword in midweek, Hansi Flick’s troops will turn their attentions towards a showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid, in the Supercopa showpiece.

And Flick and his coaching staff have opted to run with the old adage of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.

This comes amid confirmation that Barcelona will set up tonight with the same group of players who got the better of Athletic Club on Wednesday night.

This means that Wojciech Szczęsny has maintained his place between the posts, ahead of Iñaki Peña.

It also means that Gavi has been favoured over Dani Olmo – now registered and eligible to play – in the attacking midfield role.
