FC Barcelona are back in action again on Tuesday as they lock horns with Portuguese giants SL Benfica away from home in their penultimate league phase match of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League.

Heading into the game on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw vs. Getafe in La Liga, Barça will be eager to bounce back to winning ways and confirm their place in the knockout stages of the European competition.

Ahead of the trip to Portugal, manager Hansi Flick has announced the squad list of players for tomorrow’s match, with there being a surprise return.

Indeed, after four matches out of the squad, out-of-favour forward Ansu Fati has been recalled into the squad by the Barcelona manager for the game against Benfica.

The forward’s return is likely to have happened following Dani Olmo’s injury that has ruled him out of action for ten days.

Olmo, Inigo Martinez, Marc Bernal, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are all the injury-enforced absentees for the Blaugrana.

The game will also mark the first UCL squad appearance of the season for defender Andreas Christensen, who came back after a five-month injury layoff in the game against Getafe.
