Inter say Piotr Zielinski has suffered a strain to his right thigh and ‘will be monitored day by day.’
Inter midfielder Zielinski has suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh, the Nerazzurri said in a statement on Thursday.
“This morning, Piotr Zielinski underwent medical tests at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano following a knock picked up in the last game with the Polish National Team,” said the defending Serie A champions.
“The tests revealed a strain to his right thigh. His condition will be monitored day by day.”

Zielinski was subbed off in the second half of Poland’s latest Nations League game against Croatia on Tuesday.
Sky Sport Italia reports that Zielinski’s injury will likely prevent him from playing in the upcoming Serie A game against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, the Nerazzurri hope he can return to action against Young Boys in the Champions League next week and be available against Juventus on October 27.
Zielinski joined Inter on a free transfer from Napoli last summer, signing a contract until June 2028. He has made six appearances across all competitions this season.
A former Napoli, Empoli and Udinese midfielder, the Poland international has been playing in Italy since 2012.
He has 49 goals and 42 assists in 367 Serie A appearances.
