PSG have this afternoon announced the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Cher Ndour on a five-year contract, with the Italian youth international becoming the Ligue 1 champions’ sixth signing of the summer already.
Les Parisiens had reportedly beaten an unnamed Premier League side to Ndour’s signing on a free transfer, after he left Benfica at the end of his contract this summer. In the French capital, he will join two compatriots in Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti.
The teenager first made the move to the Lisbon-based side’s youth academy in 2020, coming from Atalanta after initially starting out at his hometown club Brescia. He made his senior debut in the Benfica first team this past season, in a match against Vitória Guimarães in March. Ndour was a regular for the club’s reserve side in the second division, making 30 appearances and scoring four goals. Last season also saw him face PSG in the Youth League group stages
