The business end of the 2024-25 season is fast approaching and FC Barcelona will be playing for the three big titles in the coming months, i.e., La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the Copa del Rey.
Luckily, Hansi Flick’s team has been in great form since the start of the season, and their performances and position in all of these competitions mean they are among the favourites for all of these titles.
While there are crucial ties against Benfica and Atletico Madrid awaiting them in UCL and the Copa in the coming few weeks, the Blaugranes for now will be focusing on their upcoming tie against Osasuna in La Liga.
The Catalans will be looking to get all three points from this game, not only to ensure they end this matchday at the top of the table but also because they have a direct clash against the second-placed Atletico Madrid, who are only 2 points behind, next week.
While the result of their tonight’s game against Osasuna can impact their position on the league table, luckily, the proceedings of this game are not expected to have too much of an impact of which side Hansi Flick has available for the next game against the Colchoneros.
This is because, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, there is only one player in the Barcelona squad who is at risk of suspension if he gets a yellow card in tonight’s game, i.e., Gavi. No other Blaugrana player is facing such a risk.
On the other hand, two Osasuna players, Lucas Torro and Sergio Herrera, will be suspended if they get booked in the game against the Blaugranes.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid will have three players at risk of suspension for the Barcelona game as they visit Getafe on Sunday, i.e., Julian Alvarez, Jose Maria Gimenez, and Pablo Barrios.
