Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has dropped the name of two Chelsea players and one Chelsea transfer target speaking on an ‘unbelievable’ generation.

Things have gone from bad to absolutely horrendous for Guadiola and City this season as they went from being genuine title contenders as they always seem to be every season, to actually now fighting to even finish the season in the top four. Of course, there is a long way to go in this season yet and plenty more can happen; not one person should write City off from turning it all around yet again.

Some quality talent here!

Speaking after the win yesterday, Guardiola was asked about highly rated City youngster James McAtee, who looks like the real deal.

Guardiola said on McAtee:

“He’s a guy from a generation we had that’s been unbelievable; Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, Liam Delap, Taylor Harwood-Bellis… incredible generation here at City.”

Lavia and Palmer mentioned there who have both been top signings for Chelsea, as well as current Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who Chelsea have now shortlisted as a serious potential new striker target for one of the upcoming transfer windows.

The players mentioned above have all come through the City academy and are top tier players who are only getting better game by game. Chelsea own two of them, and might even look to own a third!
