Since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, Marco Asensio (28) has proven to be a useful squad player. However, according to a report from Le Parisien, PSG may be open to selling the Spain international, perhaps as early as next month.
Asensio has played 15 times for Les Parisiens this season, netting twice and registering four assists in Ligue 1. Overall, he has seven goals and 11 assists in 46 appearances, many of which have come from the bench. When played, Luis Enrique has often deployed Asensio as a false 9, a position that the likes of Lee Kang-in and Ousmane Dembélé have also played. Gonçalo Ramos has, however, returned from injury and now looks like the first choice to spearhead PSG’s attack.
That could have a bearing on Asensio’s future at the Parc des Princes. Whilst the Spaniard has not been invited to leave the club, PSG would be open to letting him leave, should he wish.
