Ranieri keen on bringing Stefano Pioli to Roma

Stefano Pioli is one of the top candidates for Roma’s head coach vacancy.

The Italian technician is looking to make his return to Serie A following an underwhelming spell in the Saudi Pro League.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Milan coach is currently Claudio Ranieri’s favorite for the Giallorossi bench.

Roma are confident that the right coach for the future is Pioli, but he could be convinced by two things to stay in Riyadh: the salary of around 13 million euros per season and the extension in the event of a Champions League victory.

Claudio Ranieri will try to bring him to Rome, leveraging the excellent relationship between the two that began in 1993, when Sir Claudio was his coach.
