Claudio Ranieri was asked about Artem Dovbyk’s progress in his first season at the club.

Following Roma’s victory over Lecce thanks to the decisive goal scored by the Ukrainian forward, Ranieri commented on the ways the team has tried to help Dovbyk settle in.

“The boy just needs to be supported,” said Ranieri in his post-match presser. “He has the warmth of the entire locker room, because this is truly a family where we all care about each other.”

“We must always remember that this lad calls home every morning and does not know if his family will answer or not, we do not live this situation but he lives it first hand.”

“He has his loved ones in a dramatic situation, he is a sensitive boy, he needs affection and we are giving it to him.”
