FC Barcelona will feature the logo of rapper Travis Scott on the front of their shirt for the upcoming El Cláaico against Real Madrid on 11 May, set to take place at the Estadi Olimpic Lluís Companys in Montjuic.
Indeed, according to the newspaper ARA, the Houston-born artist will follow in the footsteps of previous music icons such as The Rolling Stones, Rosalia, and Coldplay, who have all been featured on the Barcelona kit in recent editions of El Clasico.
Spotify, the club’s main sponsor since spring 2022, selected Travis Scott from a shortlist of artists to be promoted during this high-profile match.
Among the other candidates reportedly under consideration was British singer Ed Sheeran as well as Taylor Swift.
At 33, Travis Scott commands a massive global following and boasts over 68 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Only Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish rank higher in streaming numbers.
Scott will become the sixth artist to be promoted by FC Barcelona during a Clasico as part of their sponsorship deal with Spotify.
Since the partnership began, Drake, Rosalia, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, and Coldplay have all featured on the Barça shirt during matches against Real Madrid.
With Coldplay on the shirt and Hansi Flick on the bench, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 0-4 at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga earlier this season.
Following that, Barça also went on to beat their bitter rivals in the finals of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The Clasico next month will have major repercussions in the title race, considering that Barcelona are ahead of Real Madrid by four points.
