Red Bull Salzburg, currently fifth in the Austrian Bundesliga, have a lot of work still to do if they are to qualify for the next round of the UEFA Champions League. With just one win and four losses from their first five, they currently sit 32nd in the ‘League Phase’, albeit just one point behind Tuesday night’s opponent, Paris Saint-Germain. It is an encounter that could prove decisive for both sides.
RB Salzburg are likely to start with Frenchman Lucas Gourna-Douath in their midfield, as well as Oscar Gloukh. Meanwhile, Liverpool loanee Stefan Bajcetic is set to start at centre-back for Pep Lijnders side against PSG. Fernando, Maurits Kjaergaard, Kamil Piatowski, Leandro Morgalla, Aleksa Terzic, Gaoussou Diakité, and Karim Konaté are all out for the Austrian side. Depleted, RB Salzburg are in desperate need of a result against PSG.
