Turkey has produced a series of fine young talents in recent years, with Real Madrid’s very own Arda Guler being the crown jewel.
Now, it appears Onuralp Cevikkan could become the next big thing coming out of Turkish football, having made significant waves in the youth competitions.
A goalkeeper by trade, Cevikkan currently plies his trade for Trabzonspor and is a regular for Turkey’s international youth teams.
In the wake of Cevikkan’s promising performances at the youth level, it seems Real Madrid are closely monitoring the goalkeeper’s progress.
This is according to AS, which suggests Real Madrid scouts were in attendance during Turkey U18’s recent game against Spain U18s.
Cevikkan has been called up for five league matches for Trabzonspor this season, after joining for the club for a fee of €700,000 in 2023.
Although the 19-year-old is yet to receive his competitive debut for the Turkish outfit, he has made waves with his promising displays in the youth leagues and in training.

Cevikkan’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid identifiying him as the ideal addition to the club’s academy.
As per the report, Real Madrid have looking to shore up their ranks at La Fabrica on a priority basis by hunting for talents across Europe.
It appears the club are following Barcelona’s model, as the Catalans have enjoyed a lot of success hunting for talents across Spain and Europe.
Cevikkan, to that end, could be an important piece of Real Madrid’s project, though it remains to be seen if the young goalkeeper is ready to take the next step in his career.
Earlier reports suggest that Los Blancos could be willing to fork out €10 million for the goalkeeping prodigy. But whether or not that will be enough to convince Trabzonspor remains to be seen.
