The match between Real Madrid and Getafe was marked by intense physicality and a series of confrontations between Real Madrid forward Endrick and Getafe’s Domingos Duarte.
The two players wasted no time making their presence felt, with Endrick’s fiery start to the match resulting in three stoppages within the first eight minutes.
The first of these incidents occurred less than a minute into the game when Endrick was sent tumbling to the ground after a clash with Duarte.
The Real Madrid striker was visibly in pain, prompting the referee to halt play for treatment.
While this initial collision appeared to be a simple challenge, it set the stage for what would become a tense and highly charged battle between the two players.
Just moments later, Endrick was back on the field following another knock from Duarte. This time, it was a blow to the Brazilian’s head that left him writhing in pain.
With the ball already far from the action, Endrick was left fuming, but it was his teammate Lucas Vazquez who took charge of the situation.
Vazquez went to the referee, urging him to keep a close eye on the actions of Getafe’s centre-back, signalling that the physicality from Duarte had crossed the line.
But the drama did not end there. As the ball was put back into play, Endrick found himself on the ground for a third time in quick succession, once again after a collision with Duarte near midfield.
This sparked further frustration from Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who was seen visibly upset, gesturing toward the fourth official as he demanded that the rough treatment of his young star come to an end.
It was not just Duarte who found himself in conflict with Endrick, as the Brazilian also had a brief exchange of words with Getafe’s Juan Iglesia.
The early part of the match had transformed into a battleground, with Endrick at the centre of it all, battling not just with opposition players but also with the relentless physicality of the encounter.
