Real Madrid have on Saturday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes owing to the early exchanges in the finale of the Copa del Rey.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are of course currently locked in action, having made the trip to Seville for a Clásico showdown with arch rivals Barcelona.
After falling to defeat in each of their previous Clásico outings this season, the Real Madrid coaching staff opted to make a number of changes for the evening.
One such alteration saw Ferland Mendy step back in at left-back, following an extended spell on the sidelines through injury.
During the opening exchanges at La Cartuja, however, the Frenchman was dealt a fresh setback.
After a heavy challenge involving Jules Koundé inside the 10-minute mark, Mendy remained grounded in evident discomfort.
From here, the Real Madrid medical staff made their way onto the pitch, quickly calling for the former Lyon man to be replaced by Fran García.
Mendy subsequently limped off, with it now remaining to be seen if the defender is facing up to any sort of incoming spell on the treatment table.
