Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. was once again at the heart of an ugly scene, during his side’s meeting with RCD Mallorca this evening.

Real are of course currently locked in action, in a Spanish Super Cup semi-final clash in Saudi Arabia.

As things stand in a cagey affair, the two sides remain deadlocked, still searching for an all-important breakthrough.

This, though, does not mean that the action at King Abdullah Sport City have been without talking point.

In fact, as alluded to above, at the interval in proceedings, one major flashpoint was forthcoming, between Vinícius Jr. and Mallorca’s Pablo Maffeo.

The pair have clashed on a number of occasions in the past, during their battles down Real Madrid’s left flank.

And, after a disagreement was sparked once more on Thursday, tensions boiled over upon Vinícius and Maffeo making their way down the tunnel at half-time.

As per a report from Relevo’s Javier Rodríguez Pascual:

‘There was chaos in the tunnel back to the changing rooms. Vinícius reprimanded Maffeo and tensions flared again. Davide Ancelotti was very quick to defend his player.’
