Stade Rennais’ side is almost unrecognisable from the one that concluded last season so poorly. Without European football for the first time in seven years, many big names have left the club, including Désiré Doué, Martin Terrier and Arthur Theate. Les Rennais have had to recruit considerably and many of their new players are set to start against Olympique Lyonnais at the Roazhon Park on Sunday evening.
Rennes will have to do without Arnaud Kalimuendo. The France youth international may take a place on the bench, but contending with a minor knee injury, he is not expected to start. In his absence, Ludovic Blas and Amine Gouiri are expected to lead the line for Julien Stéphan’s side. SRFC don’t have any other major injury concerns.
