Atlético Madrid have reportedly made contact with Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürki about a possible move.
According to Diario AS, Los Rojiblancos are on the lookout for a reliable back-up to first-choice stopper Jan Oblak.
Ivo Grbić has seemingly grown tired of life in the brilliant Slovenian’s shadow, and has been heavily linked with Ligue 1 side Lille.
Atleti are preparing for the Croat’s exit, and have reportedly settled on Bürki as their preferred deputy between the posts.
The former Switzerland international has fallen down the pecking order at Dortmund following the arrival of compatriot Gregor Kobel from Stuttgart this summer.
Bürki has just one year left on his current deal at BVB, and so leaving now would suit both parties.
However the 30-year-old is understood to want to be first choice at his next club, and so may be unwilling to play second fiddle at the Wanda Metropolitano.
