Mexican defender, Diego Reyes is close to rejoining Liga MX in the coming weeks.
According to Mexican outlet MedioTiempo, the 26-year-old has sparked the interest of not only his former club, América but also from Tigres.
Speaking to MediTiempo this week, Tigres president, Miguel Ángel Garza was vocal about the club’s interst on the Mexican international.
“Diego is one of three players Tigres is interested in,” said Garza. “Yes, there have been talks with Diego, but we have until September 5 to make a decision.”
Should Tigres finalize the deal, Reyes will take the place of Francisco Meza, whom Tigres lost for the season after a knee injury.
