Cristian Romero faced another injury and is set to miss multiple games while Micky van de Ven is on the bench. In their absence, Archie Gray and Radu Drăgușin form the heart of the defence. Destiny Udogie continues to retain his spot as the left-back.

Midfield

Rodrigo Bentancur is available in this competition and should take the field. He will have the companies of Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison in the middle of the park.

It also means that both Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are warming the bench.

Attack

Dejan Kulusevski is likely to keep his spot on the right wing but Timo Werner could be walking into the XI, replacing Heung-min Son.

Even Dominic Solanke gets the much-deserving rest and his position will probably be filled by Will Lankshear, who is available again.
