Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila has made a move for a striking target after Brendan Rodgers made his feelings on a potential Kyogo departure clear. The Norwegian manager assumed control of the MLS side earlier this month with Kenny Miller as his Assistant Head Coach.
Deila is keen to add to his attacking options with a statement signing. The 29-year-old scored a brace in the win over Ross County as he reminded supporters, and the manager, what he’s capable of.
Atlanta United were linked with a move and appeared to be preparing to mount a bid for the player until Brendan made his stance clear. When asked at the post match media conference whether he wanted to keep Kyogo, Brendan confirmed that he wanted to improve the squad and keep the team intact.
“Yeah, all the players. We want to improve the squad and develop the squad. His goals today? That’s what he’s all about. Great runs, getting round the box and getting us finished.”
Now, Atlanta appear to have moved their attentions elsewhere making a €21.5m move for Emmanuel Latte Lath, the Middlesbrough striker.
