Alexis Saelemaekers appears to have fallen under the spell of the Eternal City.

Since joining the capital club in the summer and overcoming an ankle injury that kept him out of action for over two months, the Belgian winger has been consistently performing for the Giallorossi, proving to be one of the major bright spots of Florent Ghisolfi’s first summer as sporting director of the club.

Now, Roma want to secure Saelemaekers’ services on a permanent basis.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Saelemaekers fell in love with Rome and decided to stay, convinced that he could grow further at Trigoria and earn himself a spot in the Belgian national team for the next World Cup.

In the meantime, Tammy Abraham is very happy with how things are going in Milan.

Therefore, both sides have it in their interest to turn their respective loans into permanent deals.

Negotiations are on, with Saelemaekers’ agent opening talks with Milan in the next days.
