The Seattle Sounders have signed Jordan Morris, Cristian Roldan, and Danny Leyva to new long-term contracts.
Homegrown forward Morris has signed a five-year deal through the 2027 MLS season alongside midfielder Roldan. Leyva, meanwhile, has signed a four-year deal through the 2026 campaign with a club option for 2027.
The trio's previous deals were all due to expire at the end of the upcoming campaign.
“It’s with great pleasure that we announce these well-earned contracts,” Sounders general manager and chief soccer officer Craig Waibel said in a club press release. “Jordan and Cristian have each been a massive part of this club’s success, while Danny has shown to be a very talented player with a bright future. We are pleased to secure their place with Sounders FC for years to come.”
Head coach Brian Schmetzer added: “Jordan and Cristian are exceptional players who have grown tremendously on and off the field since joining the club. Danny has become a good professional in his young career, and we are looking forward to his continued development. I’d like to congratulate all three players and am pleased about their continued time with the club.”
Leyva's new deal is particularly interesting with the young midfielder currently attracting serious attention from both Mexico and Europe, as revealed by 90min.
The Sounders have been in negotiations this winter with both Pumas and Puebla, and it's understood Leyva could still leave the club on loan or for a fee in the not-too-distant future.
All three players combined have represented the Sounders in over 500 matches across all competitions, helping the club win multiple trophies - including the MLS Cup and the Concacaf Champions League.
